Bachelor of Arts in Community Governance and Social Protection is designed to provide comprehensive understanding of the community governance and social protection for social workers at rural level in the Sri Lankan context and a global scale. This course contents covers key areas community governance and social protection such as introduction to public administration, duties of community officer, social protection concept, policy and procedures, strategic rural development, planning and implementation, e-Governance, emergency and disaster risk management, financial management and HRM. Community officers will learn how to deliver exceptional community service, manage community operations efficiently, and navigate the challenges and opportunities of the international community service landscape.

The degree program focuses on global trends in social service, sustainability in community governance, and the role and responsibility in shaping the future of community service. By completing this degree, community officers will be prepared for a successful community service with sound knowledge.
